What is the independent variable and the control of the Wet / Dry isopods experience and why? " I thought the humidity would be the independent variable, because the component that changes and tests, but the answer is time. Why? Also could you tell me what is the control it? Thank you. If you are not familiar with the experience is that how it goes. A camera of choice of 2 petri dishes, dried and moist with a 5 bugs were placed on each side. The number of errors was measured on both sides every 30 seconds. Assumption that it should be wetter after a while.

Moisture is not independent, since the quantity and dissolved minerals can vary.
Time on the other side is immutable and can not be manipulated.
Your control group is the group in which they are manipulated variables, such as water, etc. ..
